SK Telecom from South Korea recently stated that their future goal is to become an artificial intelligence company, and they will be committed to using AI technology to empower traditional businesses and pursue new growth space.
SK Telecom pointed out that the new AI business will push their market capitalization from 11.05 trillion won ($8.4 billion) today to 40 trillion won ($30.3 billion) by 2026.
SK Telecom's AI strategy includes three parts: driving new business model innovations in existing broadband and mobile services; developing its own Ayian AI business and T Univer AI business; and selling AI-based services to enterprise users.
