ODF refers to optical distribution frame, which is the abbreviation of Optical Distribution Frame.
ODF optical fiber distribution frame is an optical fiber distribution equipment specially designed for the optical fiber communication machine room. It has the functions of optical cable fixation and protection, optical cable termination, and cable adjustment, and is an indispensable part of the information machine room. Common ODF distribution frame cores include 12 cores, 24 cores, 48 cores, 72 cores, 96 cores, 144 cores, etc.
ODF is mainly used for the connection of optical cables after entering the office, the connection and distribution of optical paths from single core optical cables to optical communication equipment after termination, and the line dispatching. Its application scope includes the central office machine room, the access office machine room, and other places where light splitting, fiber melting, fiber distribution, etc. need to be carried out in a frame.
One optical fiber distribution frame shall be able to make the optical fiber cables with the largest number of cores in the office completely put on the shelf. If possible, several optical cables with more connections can be put on one frame to facilitate optical path allocation. At the same time, the capacity of the distribution frame shall correspond to the number of common optical cable cores, so as to reduce or avoid the waste of optical fiber distribution frame capacity due to improper collocation.
